Introduction
HOW WE’LL WORK WITH THE TAROT
In this journey we’re going to work with the tarot cards as energy, as healing allies. We’ll use the Rider-Waite deck as this is well aligned with the archetypal and magickal energies we need. The cards picked for the phases of our journey are not in the typical order of the cards but rather, placed in a sequence that allows their energies to support this specific process.
Interpretations
The suggested interpretations of these cards are for guidance and inspiration only. Hopefully they will be enjoyable and insightful. They’re not claiming to be definitively ‘correct’ but rather, offered as extra windows to help you reflect and facilitate your own insights and understandings around what they are able to teach you. Nothing can replace your own intuition, and this process will hopefully help you build your own connection with the cards along the way.
Guide Cards
Each chapter of the journey will be ‘guided’ and informed by the energies of one of the major arcana cards. In this instance can thinks of these cards as Guides who’s energy oversees that particular part of the process. They can catalyse the transformation when we interact with and call on these energies.
Medicine Cards
In addition we’ll be calling on the wisdom and healing of certain ‘Medicine Cards’ for each chapter. While every one of the cards has some medicine for us with regards to abundance, these cards have been selected, much like a doctor might offer a prescription to medication, to support the self-reflection exercises, rituals, and other magickal tools in this Program. They are placed at the end of each chapter but really can be useful throughout the exercises in that chapter. Your invitation is to reflect on them and let them guide you in your unique process.
Your own readings
Another powerful and recommended thing to do if you have your own deck is pull your own cards for each of the areas and see what comes through for you specifically as you proceed through this Program.
Whether you’re a beginner to tarot or more advanced, you will have an opportunity to connect with the cards in a very direct and fresh way, and to build your relationships with them as healing tools.
